CT4V BW PPF - who has done it, and what panels

My Rift metallic is fully PPF'd (all painted areas + headlights and taillights). Currently getting some repairs done at a body shop and will need to re-do the front bumper, passenger fender, and door for $1800.. after waiting 30 days for the paint to cure properly. Sucks not being able to drive it until mid-Oct.
Forget it, the aftermarket paint will peel of when you remove the PPF anyways, you won't get those 30 days of driving back..

Best protection you can do is full xpel wrap. Its not cheap but will leave factory paint in pristine condition, looks great and maintenance is a breeze. I don't do it, but you could take it through a gas station Car wash and be fine. Seriously, never a swirl or streak, ever.

Best if all is ease of care. Practically a rinse and air dry and it's in show room condition. It's also self-healing. Slight to medium scratches are easily repaired with a hot towel. I am OCD on my cars and cannot STAND paint with swirls and that looks terrible after a wash. In fact, if I avoid sprinklers rain and huge puddles. My car will look perfect for a week. Aside from crazy brake dust lol!

Looks- amazing. I have stealth so I have a matte appearance which is one of one. Check my avatar for a glimpse. Can send pics if you DM me. Seriously, I get a compliment a day and more importantly I LOVE IT! Not another one out there, that I've seen anyway.

If you're going to do it though, don't get cheap. Even though the car only had 750 miles, I did a full pain correction, inatalled the wrap and a full ceramic coat on the entire car.

Clear case of "you get what ya pay for".... hope this helps.

I called the PPF shop that handles my body's shop insurance claims. They said they've had no issues with lift as long as I wait the proper amount of time. I'd rather wait the time designated by the body shop since they'll be warrantying the paint in case it does. Mostly to cover my own ass :)

Just had mine finished yesterday.

- PPF self healing wrap hood, fenders, bumper, sideview mirrors.
- Ceramic coating
- 35% ceramic tint

I have all of my cars protected because I commute on the highway and they just get smoked with a lot of road debris. It’s worth it just for the peace of mind and to protect your “investment.”

I have Xpel Stealth on the whole car. Gives the car a Matte/Satin finish. Also did black on the roof.

Nice! Thanks for sharing this. I ordered electric blue initially and intended to wrap in matte PPF. I chickened out and changed my order to black (every time.) I like the way my car looks, but always hoped I would get a chance to see matte electric blue. It looks awesome as expected, congrats.

I did the entire front facia, splitter, hood, roof, A pillars and mirrors. The black is not vinyl, it's a black died PPF. It was not cheap but should last quite a while. I had the same on my last V3 and it looked brand new even after 3+ years on the car.

I did full front PPF and got the windows tinted. Full front PPF was $1,600 and absolutely necessary where I live and my commute on the interstate, otherwise the car would be littered with rock chips. I’ll do this on every new car now going forward, learned my lesson the hard way.

Just did full front end with XPEL Untilmate Plus. The package includes the front bumper, headlights, front fenders, hood, a-pillars, edge of roof, mirrors, door caps, and luggage strip. Paid $2.4k. Planning also to do the side rockers, and ceramic coating later in the spring.

Disclaimer: Picture laden.

I had the complete front end, high impact sides (lower body line down), mirrors and all four door handle cups wrapped in PPF. Also had the wheels, brakes calipers and all exterior glass ceramic coated. All in, the bill came to just shy of $4800 including sales tax. I've had it on numerous other performance vehicles over the years. In my opinion, it's money well spent. Don't ask me how I know!

Awesome car. I see that you have the camera on the radio antenna. How do you like the live view rear mirror?
I like the rearview camera. It's vivid and provides a nice wide angle view. It took me awhile to get used to it, catching vehicle motion out of the corner of my eye was distracting at first. I still lean over to try and see myself from time to time, which obviously doesn't work very well :)

Awesome bro. Thanks. I’m thinking of installing one for my car.
