I've always thought my MPG was "low" on the Trip computers (Trip 1, Trip 2)... I reset Trip 2 and noticed it was in fact trending well below the numbers on the "Fuel Economy" screen.

After a 450 mile trip my MPG is displayed as 16.8 MPG on the Trip 2 screen, but on my Fuel Economy screen it's shown as 18.6 MPG for the last 450 miles.

Am I interpreting these incorrectly or does this just not make sense?

Normally the fuel economy screen is to see instant fuel economy as well as a short average over say 100 miles.

I didn't think you can use the screen to see up to 450 miles average. Best guess is that the trip screen isn't an average but instead the actual consumption, where as the fuel economy screen is just doing some basic math to give you a snapshot (average) but averages are not the actual consumption.

16.8 mpg must mean you are driving it like you stole it. The car is meant for that.
