The Blackwing tab on the seats is a nice touch and those door sills are awesome with "crafted by"
My ATS-V had the vin holder under the floor mat as well and was empty. Still worth asking dealer.

If you lift the carpet up the VIN # is stamped in the floor of the car

Believe the 'vin rectangle' under the floor mat is to help various agencies (law enforcement, insurance, recovery, etc) easily identify where to look for the VIN stamped on the body.

Have seen something similar on other cars recently
