See videos below. Why does the Escalade V shift so far below horsepower peak with 682hp at 6,000rpm? I was in full V mode and it's shifting significantly short of the roughly 6,200 indicated redline. So, except for maybe that last shift before hitting the electronic limiter it's shifting before horsepower peak.
So, to run it all the way to 6,000-6,200rpm (or whatever fuel cut is) would require manual shifting. This would likely get the quickest acceleration numbers too.
It does have paddles on the wheel and watching videos online, it's actually quite responsive to paddle input. I'll have to give it a try and see how it goes.
The Blackwing's stated redline is 6,500rpm and fuel cut is 6,600-6,700, I believe.
