Black Emblems

Build quality? can you share?

Can they match the factory Vee flag colors?
Regarding the build quality, I’ve used their badges on many of my vehicles. I think the quality is outstanding and they last. Sharing some custom ones they did on my zr1.

Nice, great insight. ZR1....Enough said there. Awesome car! Thanx.

Are these pieces flexible or rigid? Wondering how the trunk one will adhere on the 5BW given the curve of trunk panel as shown in post:

So 0fx2gv website says the V badges are plastic and when I DM'ed him, he said that the all badges are straight with no curve. So would really like to see someone who installs this on their 5BW trunk to see how it looks and whether either or both edges are not fully adhering due the curve of the trunk.

They came out great. I had the dealer install them before I picked up my car.
Looks really nice. I should receive my set in a couple of weeks now. I also sent to Austin Huber (Owner Deep Blue Chrome) my Blackwing badge to have it carboned as well.

@jwolf99 I purchased GM OEM black V badges and none of the 3 were curved, so I cleaned with alcohol and 3M adhesive prep and stuck it on a couple of months ago and still stuck and good. It curved itself on applying.
Fast forward I purchased the 0fx2gv black badges and only used the black Blackwing ones and applied today using same procedure. The plastic conformed and stuck making the curve with no issues.
Overall I’m pleased how it all turned out. I took some pictures trying to share that it worked out perfectly for me. I have a 5BW.

Great photos. Thanks very much for posting @KatyTxCT5V. Good to know that both have adhered well and even curved. Probably says more about the adhesive tape than the badges themselves. I am torn between the black V with multi-color flag vs. black V with red flag from 0fx2gv for my infrared tintcoat 5BW. The red lettering in the BLACKWING part of the badge doesn't standout like the white lettering does on the one you have. (At least in post 66, above, on @Brandonvk car. Though maybe filling in the the letters with red crayon and then clear coating would make it stand out a bit more?

Being my car is Rift color, the white lettering worked well. If the red lettering was a brighter red that stood out more, I may have considered it.

I agree, the adhesive seems strong and another reason I used the 3M promoter as it really helps more than alcohol itself. Plus I have ceramic coating, so giving the adhesive as much chance possible.

I thought about using extra heat from my heat gun to help shape the plastic a little for the BW badge prior to install, but backed off and if I have an issue down the road where I have to replace the adhesive, may revert to trying.

BTW- my garage temps were around 65F when applied.

I am not sure if anyone knew this but GM makes the entire gloss black V badge, CT5 and Blackwing set as one PN, 85104909. Tt looks great, and matches the factory gloss black perfectly. The Chevy dealership near me had it listed at $250 which isn't too bad considering it comes with 3 V badges, 1 CT5 badge and the Blackwing badge all in one kit.

Can someone please point me to the GM PN for the gloss black front and rear Cadillac Emblems? I have looked at Savage Cadillac, but $130 each is pretty steep. I will pull the trigger with Savage, if I can't find the GM factory ones. I ordered the graphite GM set hoping they would be all black, but it was still chrome.

Not sure how about that spray job. You can barely read the Blackwing now. The letters on the plain one are pretty deep. Looks like the paint just pooled up in the lettering there.

These are OEM. It isn't the paint pooling it is the plastic cover over the the emblems. They look really good in person. i wish the "blackwing" was a little more pronounce with some form of color, but I will take it.

I searched multiple GM part sites and that part number came back with no results. Maybe it's a "special" part from that dealer. Especially if it's just a plastic cover. Very odd.

Damn that pops!

With all the black trim on white it just looks fantastic. Well done.

Nope, they are not covers they are the full emblems. Below are pictures of the top and bottom along with a few angles to appease your worries. I doubt a Chevy dealer would make "special" Cadillac parts. I did call the Chevy dealership to confirm the PN and was told anyone can call any GM dealership and use PN "85104909" to order the same emblems. I also attached my invoice to help any other questions that may come up.

Ah, those look much better in these photos and absent of the plastic coating. Still odd that none of the online parts sites recognize that part number. Did you also get CT5 and other V-badges through GM as well?

All the badges came part of the same set for $250. Not sure why the PN isn't working on any of the sites though.

I think I am going to fill the "Blackwing" in to add a pop of color though. Other than that the set is really nice.

I finally received my 5BW carbon emblems from Deep Blue Chrome. They look really nice. Will install them when weather is warm enough. The CT5 badge will be a bit more complex to install as it does not come with the foam piece for alignment. I also sent them my Blackwing badge to have it carbon as well. Still waiting for it.
