E92 was my favorite look and bodystyle...that m3 n/a v8 and then they went with a single twinscroll and just downhill from there imo..

2017 ACR Extreme. All white with carbon package. Kinda wanted the Brass Monkey wheels but had to "settle" for what the dealer had at the time. Which was a massive inventory, I think they ended up with a LOT of build slots for the final year.

+1! Still wish I'd bought one before they got too old and prices went waayyy up. I still remember Josh Kalis's E39 M5 with the 83mm Kellener race exhaust. Sounded sooo good. 2nd best M5 exhaust sound ever, but will never beat the aural masterpiece that was Meisterschaft's E60 offering.

Manual because that’s what I like to drive. That said, I also have a 10 speed auto in a 2025 diesel Denali (used to tow a heavy boat) and it feels like it reads my mind in terms of gear position. I wonder if there is any similarities in terms of its design vs. the BW. The truck is roughly 500 HP with 900 ft. lbs of torque.

I went with the automatic. I'm too old to be cranking away at gears and probably doing damage to the clutch and transmission, just waiting for a huge repair bill down the road. I wanted a luxury , but powerful car that I could drive and not have to think about. Push the "go fast" pedal and steer ! I was originally planning on driving the car on many cross country trips, but that 17 gallon tank and not so great gas mileage made that thought go away. I use my Kia Telluride and Jeep Grand Cherokee for those long trips and less gas stops.

Manual because it’s more enjoyable to drive and if we don’t keep buying them manufacturers will have no incentive to keep making them. Save The Manuals!

I'm on my second automatic. The first time around (2022) I really wanted the manual but back then it was take what you can get, and an auto was what I was able to find. I ordered the one I'm in now and went auto again for a few reasons. 1. I wanted super cruise, that's a really cool option. 2. I really enjoyed the car I had before. 3. I'm not worried about resale, I plan on this being a long term keeper, so I got what I wanted and don't regret it. Last, My wife can drive anything with a steering wheel so she would've been okay with whatever we bought.

Restomods? 20 years down the road? Happening right now converted early limited production vettes as just one example fetchin 300K plus or more.

Who really knows today what happens tomorrow ? Who really cares?

There is always a buyer, if you are banking your retirement on this one get ready for the wait in almost all cases.

Then just watch it parked....I'm driving an A10 today, not for the investment. For the enjoyment in my preference.

Yeah there's too many microelectronic parts that only GM has the ability to produce to make these cars an investment. When GM stops stocking the parts you have a bit more time scavenging junk yards then the entire line is scrap. Sad but true and exactly what the manufacturers want.

Same here. Easily would have been my top choice if available. Midnight Steel reminded me of Barents Blue on one of our Volvos. Fantastic color.

Manual (CT4). Just my personal preference—I’ve driven manuals for the last 30 years. I’ll continue to choose a manual as long as there’s the option to do so. I like the additional points of engagement.

Plus, now I can say I’ve owned both a Cadillac and a Lincoln (2002 LS) with a manual transmission. Considering Lincoln only built about 2000 MT LS’s, there can’t be many of us around.

A manual LS is rare. I think was only for the V6 right? That was a nice car that they gave up on. It drove nicely and looked nice. The V8 was a nice car too.

You're right, the MT was unfortunately only available with the V6 (and I think only for 2001/2002) -- so it definitely wasn't fast, but it drove nicely and was pretty enjoyable all-round.
