Am I the only one here interested in vintage vehicles?

2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing
It seems that most people here don't have much if any interest in vintage vehicles. In a recent post it appeared there were only two choices for performance vehicles. CT5 Blackwing (which I don't have) and C8 Corvette (which I wouldn't want). There are plenty of older or vintage vehicles to scratch your performance itch. Why only interest in brand new vehicles?View attachment 31237

You’re on a forum dedicated to a specific modern sports car and you’re actively telling its members you don’t have or want the two we always talk about.

Weird take.
No. I do own a CT4 Blackwing and that's exactly what I'm inquiring about. Why is it the only two cars anyone here cares about are the CT5 Blackwing and C8 Corvette? Duh!

I have has my 1938 Buick Special since 1978.

I tell you what. I'll delete the post. I didn't realize it would trigger the type of response it's getting. You have to admit though, this forum is pretty damn boring! I was just trying to start a conversation so there was a little activity. I'll keep out of it from here on in. You guys enjoy yourselves.

ArgentWing, not sure why it matters whether someone wants to discuss CT4/5 cars or other modern muscle. But there's a reason a forum like this exists, and that's to concentrate on the V-series Cadillacs. Today it's CT4/5-V and Blackwings that are popular. Just wait a few years after they stop making them and these too, won't be discussed much here or anywhere else. Don't believe me? Just wait. I used to think that about 4th gen Camaro forums, too.

But at the moment, they are, so I'm gonna roll with it while it lasts.

We currently have a 69 Hurst/Olds, a 71 Olds 442, an 84 Hurst/Olds, and 85 Olds 442, and an 87 Olds 442, a 2010 Camaro SS, as well as a 2013 ZL1 Camaro convertible, along with a 2020 GMC Denali and our just-purchased 2025 CT5-V series. I've almost always had a Camaro of some sort, and no use for a Corvette of any year. We bought a Caddy Wagon in 2010, a CTS in 2016, a CT5-V in 2020, and finally the 2025 CT5- it's our 5th new Cadillac. Sure, the V6 TT isn't as stout as the ZL1, but it drives wonderfully and has enough umph to do what I want it to do. Every era has had their "muscle." And I'm here to embrace it until I can't.

It doesn't matter. Like I said, I was just trying to start a conversation. If nobody wants to participate that's fine! This is the "general discussion" section of the forum though. I didn't think our conversation had to be that specific. No wonder it's so dead here. Whatever. I won't bother again.

Are you always a total asshole or just from behind your computer screen? Not quite sure what it is that offends you but you're quite the douchebag!!!
You are complaining that we aren’t talking about old cars on anew car forum. Not sure why you think suggesting finding a dedicated forum makes me an asshole but you know, you do you, if you’re that easily offended.

Honestly I guess I don't know why my post made you and apparently others so butt hurt. You took it as my complaining but I was merely attempting to start a discussion. Not sure what triggered you and prompted your negative response. I guess I don't know the meaning of the word "irony" as I don't think I was being an asshole but if you and others feel I was perhaps I need to reexamine that. At any rate, I don't intend to post here again so I guess it doesn't matter. I wasn't expecting the hostility and negatively. You guys enjoy!

In the good Ole days on this forum we used to discuss things that weren't Blackwing specific. Watches, motorcycles, the goat rodeo. It used to be interesting. I'm not sure what happened but It isn't interesting anymore. Just sayin!

I just recently sold my 70 nova SS. 496 BBC. Turbo 400 with manual reverse valve body. Great fun to drive. Prob 500 wheel horsepower at least. I love my CT4 Blackwing but there is nothing like an old school classic with big cubes!!

Yeah… we have an exact forum for that here: General Chat

General chat. You’re in a BLACKWING chat wondering why we don’t talk about things that aren’t about blackwings. It’s weird.
