ac compressor howling noise

WHEN IT IS VERY HOT AND VERY VERY HUMID OUTSIDE, MY AC COMPRESSOR WORKS FINE, BUT IT EMITS A SLIGHT HOWLING NOISE ON ACCELERATION.

WHEN THE HUMIDITY AND/OR TEMP LOWERS, NO NOISE AT ALL.

IN THOSE VERY HOT AND HUMID CLIMATES, IT ALSO OCCASIONALLY BLOWS WARM AIR FOR JUST A FEW SECONDS BEFORE COOL AIR COMES BACK.

ANY ONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THIS?

Sometimes my AC emits a slight whisper and when I put my ear very close it, quietly, softly, it tells me that I’m a good boy and that my wife isn’t always right. The issue I have is that depending on what it ate that day—as you mentioned—it could have hot garlic dragon breath or a cool mint breeze amuse-bouche to cleanse my palate. Fickle machines, indeed.
