2016 Cadillac CTS-V spied testing alongside F10 BMW M5. Looks like it will have similar hood venting to the Corvette and Camaro:

Three 2016 Cadillac CTS-V prototypes were spied testing together alongside the BMW M5 (F10).

Cadillac's high-performance CTS continues testing ahead of next year's launch as a 2016MY and in these latest spy photos we get a better view of the hood's air intake. Previous shots have shown an almost Maybach-like massive blackened front grille together with a power bulge and beefy front air intakes. The aggressive looks continue at the back where a menacing quad exhaust arrangement resides.

At its heart should be a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine taken from the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 modified to deliver approximately 600 bhp (447 kW). As standard it will be linked to either a 6- or 7-speed manual transmission along with an optional 8-speed automatic 'box also sourced from the Z06.

There is a very good chance Cadillac will choose to unveil the CTS-V in January next year at NAIAS in Detroit.

I was hoping they would release it later this year as a 2015 model instead of holding it until 2015 calendar year and calling it a 2016.

I don't plan to buy one, just yet. Like my V2 Wagon too much.
