Welp, it happened already.

I had just finished washing the car and took her for a spin in the nice Sunday weather. About 750 miles on it now, so feeling good about being more spirited when driving, but still not redlining/ramming thought the gears.

Went to downshift into 2nd from 3rd gear at about 45 mph (w Rev matching on) and I lost all throttle response, the dash lit up with a CEL and ESC error saying to service immediately. Cadillac app is showing the screenshot below. The engine had a very rough idle, but after pulling over and turning it off, it seemed to be back to normal.

Hopefully no major service needed as a result. Anybody have any experience with this sort of problem?

When my BW does anything crazy like that I just pull over and reboot it and so far it has always worked out.... My car gets all out stupid after a GM download..
Operation seemed back to normal after a restart but the CEL was still on...

Have you contacted OnStar? They will usually tell you the specific fault codes that are stored as a result of the CEL. The dealer will also tell you, but nice to know before you walk in.

Another ✅ for the 4!
Liking my choice more and more each day. LOL. In all seriousness, that really stinks to OP. Hope you don't have many situations like that!
