thank you for this. Posting this question in the BW forum, I was sure the BW would be the hands-down favorite. The Z06 can be had for tens of thousands less, so maybe I'll find a local owner willing to take me on a joy ride to help the decision.
also looks like yours was allocated and built...
I am looking for the American Muscle experience - manny, v8, sc. I am 6'3" and the caddy fit me fine, but the 997.2 turbo - not so much.
I live in elevated Utah, so canyon runs and commute are my primary use cases. UMC road track likely during a few summer weekends.
A car that I want to keep...
after having the IRS clawback my caddy money causing a liquidation of Blackwing 86-0329, I have settled all debts and refilled the Veblen Vehicle account.
The seemingly simple question is, which to choose - a pre-loved C7 Z06 7SPD or another round of the BW goat rodeo?
Has or does anyone here...
Spring Mountain just opened up additional seats to the V-Performance Academy.
If you've been waiting, book now.. They will be gone quick.

The exact same thing happened to me.. Ordered the BW in August, delivered in March, then hit with a massive tax bill in April [ That I just sent into the treasury. You're welcome warmongers ] .
Dealer will not let you chose who takes over your order. You will need to buy it, then sell it if...
I got hit with a large and [ mostly ] unexpected tax bill this year and am considering liquidating the blackwing to cover this. I am into the car for just shy of 110k after taxes and ceramic.. Figure I'd see if any interest here before taking the leap of listing on autotrader or similar.
not...
I can confirm that the brake dust is heavy with the stock pads.. Almost turning my bronze wheels black after a few spirited canyon runs.
but the wheels are damn sexy and I wouldn't change the spec even if I could.
I have rift on tech bronze with red calipers.
More pics on instagram Login • Instagram and in the rift thread .
I love everything about the bronze wheels . 2nd choice was satin steel on the same .
No license plate bracket
No dealership sticker or plaques anywhere on the car
No wash
Remove spring spacers and put in trunk
Do not install rear brake ducts
Check mileage
fill tank with highest octane available
the 6spd was also a main driver for me to get the 5bw..
However, after 700+ miles of daily driving type duties, I have caught myself several times wondering if I should have opted for an auto.
I think @Tall Steve did it right, a manny 5 for the garage queen and an a10 4bw for daily duties.
I expect them to hold value and not meaningfully appreciate against inflation. It really depends on how many are made over the next few years. In any case, there will be a strong secondary market for the car in the future.
You could certainly flip the car immediately for more than break even...
