Could ~9 lbs lighter wheels effect shock calibration?

I am not talking about just traction. The way the car feels going into corners and going over pump, the way it reacts to inputs. Yes, the compounds are different.
The compound and design of the tire will absolutely have more impact on what you're feeling than a few lbs per wheel/tire combo. I'm not saying that lighter wheels don't matter, I'm simply saying the difference is so minimal that most people would never notice unless they were measuring it with lap times or acceleration/deceleration equipment. Lighter wheels are absolutely a terrible mod from a bang for the buck standpoint and makes more sense only when you need a second set of wheels such as in your case for different seasons or possibly a track wheel/tire combo vs a street set, or as most people buy wheels for visual appeal.

Again, I reference this video, same wheel size, same exact tire, only change is wheel weight. The differences are VERY minimal and only noticeable when being measured.

Well..., seems to be minimal for regular street driving. Seems to be more meaningful on the track when driving 10/10. This video documented a 1.5 second lap time improvement on a 100 second lap. Aaaahhhhh, .... yeah, sign me up for another 1-2 second lap time improvement from lighter wheels.

After a couple days of scouring the internet, I've now placed an order for a custom set of magnesium wheels. They will look like this.
Sizes will be:
18 x 10 ET 15
18 x 10.5 ET 45

If you're a track fanatic, then lighter wheels might make good sense but I would also argue adding 50hp more would give WAY more benefit for MUCH less cost unless you're still under warranty and trying to retain your warranty, but then again, track sessions could void that anyway.

Looking forward to heaing your impresssions of them! And very curious about the weights - I suspect they will be shockingly light.

Becoming that track fanatic, I've learned handling is much more important than power.

Example:
1) with more power you come out of a given corner the same speed as before your power improvement and the foot goes to the floor. For a second you are 1mph faster than before, then for another second you are 2mph faster than before, then another second 3mph, 4mph, 5mph faster, then stand on the brakes to get car back down to the same corner entry speed as before your power upgrade. What did you gain, maybe 2 seconds around the track?

2) with more handling and the same power, you entered the corner 5mph faster, exit the corner 5mph faster and are 5mph faster down the entirety of the straight and then 5mph faster entering the next corner. Here you gained 6-7 seconds for example.

A stock 4BW with -3.7 and -2.0 camber will destroy a 4BW around the track that has a JB4 and a street alignment.
