Is melting part of the heat cycling process? These new tires only have 125 miles on them.

How many of those miles were on a track?

125 of them of course. Our OEM tires are really good tires. Nobody can explain it, but the Porsche Cup N2 slicks I tried were horrible, I was sliding around everywhere on the track - very scary.

I ran through 8 sets of fronts and 4 sets of rears in 22K miles - 24+ track days. I was getting 3 track days for the fronts until I started running higher 42-45PSI on the fronts. It would rip off the corner blocks. I lost grip with the higher PSIs put gained tire life - up to 6 track days.
