[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

Yeah I'd love to see some black tips tucked into the valence like the stock tips.

here is some better pictures and a link to a video on google drive of the exhaust note in sport and tour! More videos once it stops raining with a go pro comparing before and after :)

The tips aren't super adjustable due to the bends, this is far in as the outer tips can go, so I did that and then made the inner tips match.

All in all, I am happy with it. It looks gloss black (just like the spoiler) but I have white lights in my garage so it reflects them sometimes and gives it that silver look. But to the eye they are that deep gloss black.

Hope this helps everyone. I love it.

That tucks in a lot more than I expected from reading your comments before looking at the pictures. I looks really good, I like the black tips.

The only critique I would give is the outside tips sit lower that the inner tips which looks misaligned. I think there a rotation to the outer that could bring them up (or lowering the inner) from looking at the pictures on AWE site, but I could be wrong.

Yeah I'll look when I get home but I don't think that's something you can change. It is slightly staggered. I would prefer straight as well. But, honestly, you may need to decrease tip size if you make them straight across believe it or not. They fill in the gap really well, but if they get too close I can see them melting/singe-ing the diffuser.

Supercars have to offsetting quad tips as well

I like the look…just waiting on the video

sorry for the delay, its been raining pretty much everyday here in NY so getting the go-pro out is less than ideal!!

Probably this weekend. Like I said, sounds great. I feel like AWE has a "signature sound". Even with a different engine, this exhaust note reminds me of my B9 S4 with their exhaust as well.

@Sara/AWE great job as always! Thank you guys for doing this exhaust package, I know compared to other vehicles the production numbers aren't staggering.

I've always been impressed with AWE, glad to hear they're still top tier! C'mon 5BW....

Looking forward to the vids with sounds! I had a great AWE exhaust on my B5 S4 that I really loved. I can see one in my BWs future...

DUAL PERSONALITIES OF SWITCHPATH™:

Featuring AWE's patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®, the AWE SwitchPath™ brings no drone, minimal bends, maximum flow, and push-button attitude. The SwitchPath™ Exhaust is composed of dual 3-inch U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, a precision x-pipe, and a valved SwitchPath™ muffler tuned specifically for the 3.6TT.

Beginning after the factory mid-pipe, the precision X-pipe immediately helps smooth the 3.6TT of its rasp, deepening the tone before it's refined further by the bespoke SwitchPath™ muffler in the rear. Integrated machined valve brackets house the factory valve motors with precision to ensure all of the Blackwing’s valve characteristics remain intact and operate the same as the factory exhaust.

The closed valve experience:

When the valves are closed, the SwitchPath™ Exhaust produces a refined, aggressive howl while remaining full-bodied and powerful – no congested, metallic sounds when on the throttle. At cruising speeds, interior acoustics are close to stock with no drone at cruising speeds. AWE SwitchPath™ tech also responds perfectly to the factory parameters designated by the drive modes, opening the valves when reaching the designated throttle threshold.

The opened valve experience:

Open the valves and the FL4 roar is uncorked. Sport & Track modes achieve the ultimate contrast in behavior when compared to the Tour driving mode (valves closed). In Sport or Track mode, the exhaust note is powerful, clean, and aggressive. Thanks to the precision X-pipe, the rasp is still kept in check while allowing the exhaust note to reach full aggression.

If you’re looking for the best of both worlds (i.e. drone-free, clean aggression), and want to retain your factory valve behavior all while gaining peace of mind (i.e. emissions compliance), look no further than SwitchPath™.

LET’S TALK TIPS:

Finish it off with signature 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in your choice of chrome silver or diamond black—each stamped with the AWE logo and individually adjustable for precise placement.

100% EMISSION-FRIENDLY:

AWE Exhausts do not interfere with any factory emissions equipment.

MADE IN PA, USA:

Engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house at AWE using premium US-sourced .065”-wall T304L stainless steel to achieve a tone deeper than everyone else.

THE FINE PRINT:

AWE’s Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No CEL Guarantee, and Lifetime Warranty all come standard.

Is it possible to purchase this exhaust but keep the OEM tips on?

This was covered previously in this thread. No, without custom fab work/modification that will void the AWE warranty.

The video compares sounds in Tour and V-Mode, but V-mode isn't an exhaust setting.

To my ears the AWE exhaust sounds good in the drive-by portion, but idle straight up sounds like a fart...way worse than stock. Build quality looks impressive as always for AWE products...I had an AWE exhaust on my GTI back in the day and it was amazing.

Sounds great. Definitely a deeper and more powerful sound. Thanks for posting these
Agreed. Funny I listed to the last two clips and thought - man sounds a lot like my stock exhaust....then I noted the file names...
