2023 Cadillac CT4-V BW 41-764
I recently dropped the muffler on the BW and did an 10” muffler to the straight tips and a straight pipes to the valved tips and it sounds awesome. I saw this on the forum with a 5. It now sounds Much more aggressive and the burbles are consistently there when the valves are open, valves closed it sounds nearly stock. The video is a brake boost launch in V mode.

How much louder is it vs stock with the valves open?

Much louder compared to stock it feels about 60% louder when the valves are open and the pops are almost like thunder. There is a bit of drone when cruising on the highway and streets but the different of noise in the cabin is relatively the same but from the outside it is crazy.

Some drone with the valves open is no problem as long as they can be closed up for the neighborhood. Back in the day I used to not care at all, but nowadays NJ cops are more like proctologists.

Did this set a CEL?

Any muffler modifications behind the o2's will not trigger a CEL. CEL's to do with exhaust are when you start messing with downpipes.

Hey OP, now that you have had this installed for some time-- what are your overall thoughts on drone?

I would like to keep the valves closed setting as close to what OEM is-- Does yours drone when cruising at highway speeds with valves closed on this setup? or is it close enough to stock to use BT for a phone call/use the radio?

What's are the dimensions of the Y pipes? 3in single in and what diameter dual out?

Has anyone heard anything on Crest Performance Dynamics (CPD) exhaust? Its a similar set up as the OP and its around 1500. They have 3 different muffler options and you can keep your oem tips. @Raj01 I was wondering how much your exhaust setup was from a muffler shop to see price comparison on if I should go with this or have a shop put everything on.

I reached out to them about adding a resonator to the loud path as I don't like the sound of the straight pipe exhaust on this car. They can do it for an nominal upcharge. The whole exhaust was quoted under $2k shipped. Its a good option.
I ended up doing my own thing similar to the OP's, which cost me $1k all in. I love the deep sound of the Vibrant resonators. The tone of sound is very different from the stock exhaust. Was a bit disappointed that it wasn't louder at first, but they opened up nicely in a few days. My 9 year old got freaked out and asked if we can close the windows on the first drive. Smaller 1792 on the loud path and larger 1793 on the quite path. If I was to do it again, I would do the smaller units on all four pipes. It will still be quieter with the valves closed than open that way.

I spent $650 on install and then around $100 bucks for y pipes and mufflers
