2026 allocation

I placed my order for a 2026 CT5-V Blackwing in May 2025, and it was just accepted for production. The build included the Carbon Fiber 1 & 2 packages and semi-aniline leather seat trim. The only constrained option for my allocation was the carbon fiber seat backs, which I removed using the “CF seatback delete” option on the build sheet. The updated build still has the semi-aniline leather seat trim and the Carbon Fiber 1 & 2 packages, just without the CF seat backs.

Congrats, man... My April order is still sitting at 2000. CF1&2 as well...

Dealer I'm working with already got 2 '26 4BWs in stock, one for each of the two dealerships they own.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting my TPW.

Anyone looking for an honest dealer and salesman - reach out to Adrian over at Findlay Cadillac in Henderson.

Very honest and pleasant to deal with. Also a high volume dealer so I had almost no delays in my order. Highly recommend!

If you’re in S. Cal., give Calabasas Cadillac a call. I picked up a 2026 with the options I wanted, in stock, last month. Ethan, my sales Rep, told me it was the 2nd 2026 they sold that day. Truly a great experience.

So still no update from my dealer, though last week they promised me an update. Chatbot thing still says not accepted, though I'm hearing stories that one could be unreliable (car was delivered but bot still says "not accepted"), and should ask a live agent instead of the bot. However seems like the Canadian agents don't give out status codes even though I insisted on it...

You need to relax, youre quickly turning into the guy that every one in sales hates
I'm actually pretty passive about it, just poking around the automated tools I have access to. I barely even emailed or anything, it was him saying he will give me an update and didn't, in an email he sent me.

No different than just poking at an online package tracker, the intent was to bother nobody and still get information.

I don't blame the dealership, I blame GM really. All other brands keep their customers updated automatically, but GM still operates like in the 80's.

Correct,

I deal directly with the Operations Mgr and even he is kept in the dark... car just showed up both times. So the info youre looking for you may never get so dont bother

so are you saying these salesfolks are not always as incompetent and lazy as they seem, and that they just dont get information? Sometimes its hard to tell.

Because in 2022 cars were hard to get and goats ruled the world. 5 months was not nearly a record during that time.
This thread bringing back the memories. Like constantly refreshing this page

Overall I've found even with the craziness in '22 the process is so much more pleasant and achievable than, say, trying to order a GT Porsche.

And what is your profession? or job?
Wholesale Perishable Food Sales, partial owner of family business. If I responded as slowly as car sales folks or had as bad of information as them i would be out of business, or my product would go bad lol. Very fast paced & demanding industry. My experience so far with Cadillac is ive called 3 dealers who couldnt even get me information on allocations or a callback. There has been only One who ive placed an order with and have gotten a pretty good idea on a timeline.
Had similar issues with Ford. Finding good people to work with is difficult in the car industry. I do know they exist but its hard for me to find at least.

Nice! I’ve mostly given up on the rodeo after two dealerships asking for adm for an order after not getting any order number from Sewell. Hope you get your car soon.

Your average car sales person is only trained on how to sell you what is on the lot. The entire system is geared towards that. As soon as you want a custom order from the factory, you should be asking to work with the sales manager who is generally the only person who can enter orders into GM workbench and understands the allocation process. Even then you probably won't get very definitive answers from them. From GM to the dealers they really really want you to just buy something on the lot. The whole system is setup to dissuade you from putting in your own order. You have to know this going in that it will be an uphill battle. It is called the "Goat Rodeo" for a reason.
