Auto vs. Manual

Took a peak under the dash, I have a spot for a clutch in the future should the need arise.

Restomods? 20 years down the road? Happening right now converted early limited production vettes as just one example fetchin 300K plus or more.

Who really knows today what happens tomorrow ? Who really cares?

There is always a buyer, if you are banking your retirement on this one get ready for the wait in almost all cases.

Then just watch it parked....I'm driving an A10 today, not for the investment. For the enjoyment in my preference.

We have at least one. ;)
I kinda like my A10! I get in usually coffee or seltzer hit the pipe real good and listen and feel the sounds. Added part I don't even have to shift it shifts pretty damn good.

Surprised nobody mentioned this. AT wins hands down here. Shifting left handed is sub-optimal in some vehicles. Practice those left-handed shifts ahead of time boys and girls for when the need comes up.

I was just reminded of this video that discusses all of the modern tech that goes into a manual transmission. We think of them as “old tech” but they are quite modern. I completely forgot our cars have ‘no lift shift’.

Side question... it says the factory fill is 0W40 for both 4BW and 5BW in the video, I thought the owner's manual said it's 5W30 for the 4BW?

Lord, that's some serious tongue weight...should've gotten a 1/2 for that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time I see one of those setups I think the same thing. I have often wondered why boat/trailer manufacturers don't position trailer axles farther forward to help with weight distribution. That would also change the pivot point on the trailer and how it behaves, especially when reversing, but as long as axle placement is not too far forward, the arc/swing-out in the back should be manageable.
Manual (CT4). Just my personal preference—I’ve driven manuals for the last 30 years. I’ll continue to choose a manual as long as there’s the option to do so. I like the additional points of engagement.

Plus, now I can say I’ve owned both a Cadillac and a Lincoln (2002 LS) with a manual transmission. Considering Lincoln only built about 2000 MT LS’s, there can’t be many of us around.
Man, 5-spd Lincoln LSs are rare. I almost bought a co-worker's at least a decade ago just because I thought it would be an awesome platform. Dreams of a mod-motor and 6spd from a Terminator flourished until I realized there is really not much of any aftermarket support for the platform.

An LS'd LS also got the gears turning in my head... just to piss off the Ford AND GM loyalists!
