I understand that all new cars with the precision pack are supposed to come with these new toe links that are Dealer installed during PDI. My Dealer is indicating that they did not come with the car, does anyone have a photo of these links that I can show them?

Here's a picture of both from one of the Car and Driver articles:

Hopefully they didn't lose them, the MSRP for one 85016345 is $1219.38!!

They come in the trunk of the car. I had the dealer I install and do an alignment. But I was charged for it. Was it supposed to be included as part of the PDI? I could not find any document indicating that.

Appreciate the photo, no links in the trunk so the Dealer opened a case and has no doubts about them getting a set for me.

I guess the Dealer can choose to charge you for the install, mine is not going to and also including new bolts.

I know this is in the zone of "does it have gas?" when the car doesn't start, but did they check under the tray in the foam area where the funnel, tow hook, and related are stored?

Nice of the dealership to pick up the tab. Find out if they are just going to align the rear or do a full alignment. I found front settings were quite a bit off from the factory so best to have then do a full alignment. You will need to let them know what kind of alignment you want - street, track or something in between.

Im sure they didnt, and neither did I honestly

does installing them give the car a different alignment off the bat or what is the purpose of them? if you arent tracking just leave them off?

Provides more camber in the rear. About a half degree I think.

Plus the piece is more solid so there will be less flex. Since we are not professional racers, I doubt we would notice a difference though.

Theyre shorter, allowing for more max neg camber in the rear
According to a Car and Driver article they are "about 0.1 inch longer"

It's believed that the shorter part shifts the range of possible rear camber about -0.4 degrees.
Good question. I think the max rear camber goes from -1.6 to -2.0. I would think the min would be 0.4 diff as well.

As soon as I have them in hand I can measure, although, it appears like the links sit above the axle, so it must be shorter than standard to accomodate additional neg camber.

It’s crazy that the toe links don’t come installed from the factory on a car with the Precision Package. And it’s even crazier that the dealer charged you to install them. That’s like saying the Precision Package comes with Cup 2 tires, but you have to pay separately for installation and balancing.

Aside from some air dams and brake ducts, the ZL1 1LE—which I assume is comparable to the Precision Package, minus the DSSV dampers—came with all the suspension upgrades installed from the factory.
