V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2006 XLR-V, 2011 CTS-V Coupe
Several of us Midwest XLR owners are headed to Mid-Ohio Race course for a combined weekend event. The World Challenge has two races over the weekend, the ALMS also has two races and Sunday has an Indy Car race as the finale. Should be another great event with our XLR/CTS friends!!:smile:

Just got an alert, Cadillac will be racing 3 CTS-V's this weekend, with Jordan Taylor driving. (Corvette Racing driver)

And Jordan Taylor was second fastest in the #5 CTS V.R in the one and only practice session behind a K-PAX Volvo. Andy and Johnny were 5th and 6th fastest.

Spoiler Alert!

World Challenge GT: In the double header at Mid-Ohio, Jordan Taylor did a terrific job in the 3rd CTS V.R but none of the Cadillacs had much of a chance against the AWD Volvos on the we track. Pobst finished first in both races in the K-PAX Volvo.

Jordan Taylor was second in the first race and fourth in the second race
Johnny O finished third and seventh.
Andy finished fourth and fifth.

Johnny and Andy are still first and second in the driver's championship and Cadillac leads the manufacturer's points.

ALMS:
Corvette Racing had a close one with Flying Lizard racing. During the middle of the race the Porsche and both Vettes were less than a second apart with the Porsche leading. A great pit stop put the Corvette ahead and they hung on to the finish.

Had a great weekend being at Mid-Ohio rooting on the Cadillacs and Corvettes!! Our Midwest XLR Car Corral got a special treat every day when Top World Challenge Cadillac driver Johnny O'Connell parked his CTS-V sedan in our corral!! He even stopped by Saturday evening after the race to mingle with the group. I'll try and post some picks later. Sunday morning started out with heavy rains that actually started late Saturday night. Our canopies were a twisted mess on Sunday morning. Most had 4-7 hour drives home and they kept delaying the races so most left. The Cadillacs didn'T fair well against the all-wheel drive Volvos, but Johnny has clinched the Driver Award going into the last race of the season in Sonoma.

Congrats to Johnny and Cadillac!!
