Might "What's wrong with this picture?" be a fun game to play?

So, what's wrong with this picture?

If you were in what looks like a hard left-hand turn, why is the G meter indicating the opposite? Did you loose traction and are trying to correct from an understeer?

How did you get that sideways? Also, that’s a ton of steering input for going that slow, no? Was that after the back straight turn?

My guess: You came off that last turn before the straight hit the curb and got too hard on the gas before the car settled and kicked the back end around then counter steered to the left to bring it back.

Did you loop it right after this screenshot?

Here's a clip. It felt at the time like I got a lot more sideways than it shows in the video.

This was at Monticello in NY.

Here's some similar excitement.

I paid the extra $250 for insurance and didn't hold back. School was my first time on a track.

Watched without sound. Looks like you were a few feet from the curbing then throttle pushed you further away. Presuming you did this on purpose since you track frequently.

I've only been on a track 7 times and this was the 7th.

This is called a double apex turn, where the arc from the first turn leads right into the next turn. My entry into the first turn wasn't quite right and that carried through to the next turn. I think I was trying to get to where I was supposed to be for the 2nd turn in spite of my bad entry to the first.

Commendable to be frequenting the track regardless! I just did Spring Mountain last week. Need to get mine out to MSR in Houston soon.
