i posted a few weeks back about the difficulty of placing a order. I could never get past a poorly trained sales person. I was truly in disbelief. I will never get a mother Thresa award but have conducted myself in a straight up manner. I usually don't like asking for favors from friends and associates but i did on Monday. So a friend called his friend who called his friend (really i am not making this up ) and yesterday i got a call from Napoleon automotive group and 22 minutes later i had a 2000 build code that was my spec, and this am i got a 3000 code. All i can say is work the phones stay at it and maybe you'll get lucky like me. Cant wait to add this bad boy to my stable!

Napoleon? Did you mean Napleton?

Good choice...I might be a little biased but Typhoon looks sickkk! Get ready to have random people ask you about it at red lights! lol

Can confirm. I hadn’t been stopped at the border bug check station between CA/NV in over 20 years. I’ve been stopped twice in the last month… both times to compliment my car. Also get compliments at gas stations as well.

Great choice man.

I also had problems placing an order. It sounds like my experience in 2022 was different. There are three Cadillac dearles within striking distance. I inquired at the two closest dealers. One responded. When I finally was able to get a dialog via email and telephone, they dictated severe/silly terms. $5,000 down (non-refundable), $500 a day for every day the car sat on their lot after delivery. Since they were convenient, I finally broke down and said yes. Fortunately, the dealer ghosted me. I then went to the farthest dealer in Greensburg, PA. It could not have been simpler. $500 down (fully refundable), no penalties, we picked the options, done.

So what is the difference? This is the story I got and it may or may not be true — I have no way to confirm. Dealers get different allocations of BWs. Apparently, GM plays favorites with those who perform and do what they are told. The other two dealers may not have had any allocation, they were at the bottom of the list, or something. they did not answer or gave outrageous terms to discorage a customer rather than tell the truth and look stupid: "We cannot obtain the car."

It would be interesting to know if any of the above reasons are actually real. It was really imature of me but after purchase, I contacted the silly dealer and let them know that they do not need worry about me anymore, as a competitor delivered without penalties or non refundable deposit.

Allocations are given out by GM based on previous sales of like models. Larger dealers usually give you better odds.
