CT5-V Tan Interior

CT5-V Model
I liked the tan due to it's NOT all black. I think the tan breaks that up. I also find the different colors of the piping very different and I really like it. I still wish mine had the tan. Seems almost every car today has all black interiors and I find it too dark.
I'm wondering if a professional could somehow dye the white piping so that it is red to match my brake calipers. 🤔

I spent a lot of time looking into this question. Tried multiple upholsterung places. None were very interested as they didn't think they could do it well without removing and replacing. The only quote I managed to get was $1k.
I also tried it myself on samples with a brush and with a dye marker, but was not satisfied with results and didn't scale up. Still pending my evaluation on spraying dye. I assembled my spray equipment but havent had a chance to try it on a sample yet. My biggest issue is that no masking tape will stick to leather well enough to reliably mask.

Sorry, but you guys are nuts. I think the top tier tan/black is gorgeous as it is!

You think that's nuts......I swapped out my upgraded black rear seats and door cards for sky cool gray. Also colored all white stiching red for continuity. So now I have black front seats and everything else scg. I dig it. Probably better that way as the fronts get the most use and wear. If only I could get red piping on the black seats.....no I really dont have time to kill, that's why this piping sht is taking me so long.

I hear you on this. I fell into the black/white/gray exterior with all black interior cliche for too long. RRT with tan interior will hopefully remedy that boredom.

It's a bit too much with 4 colors; tan, black, white & red. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A few examples. Haven't finished all the stiching yet. It takes a bit of time.
What did you use to color the dash stitching? I already know the white stitching reflecting in the windshield is going to drive me nuts. That and how the turn signal lights, dash indicator, and sound are all out of sync with each other. That's going to grate for a while until I get used to it.

A red Uchida permanent fabric marker, but there are many others brands out there. The beauty is that you don't have to be careful when applying. It doesn't stick to leather. Just wipe off any overrun and the color on the stich remains.

That's awesome! Thanks for the tip. Will have to give it a try.
