My phone rangan hour ago and it was my dealer. I was told it would be October before i saw my car. I was thinking they were telling me we had a build date. Anyway my car is here sitting locked on the lot with 5 miles on it. It will be the weekend before i can breakaway to get it. I was wondering what you all thought of any inspection i should do besides a road test and a visual inspection. I am excited!

Check all 4 wheels. Inside and outside. All 4 of mine were damaged by the car carrier. I Lao had a plastic panel underneath the car that was cracked at delivery as well. The dealer took care of them for me.

It's very possible the car will show up before then - the dealer is assuming worst case scenario of GM holding car until the end of Q3 and then releasing it at the end of September for the sale to count in this quarter.

Another thing to check are the key FOBs - it's way too easy to scratch the paint off of them and they seem to often come with paint already missing.

Take a REALLY good look at the paint. Mine was so swirled that I had to pay $900 for a two stage paint correction. The dealer will play dumb once it’s off the lot.

I found the painted pieces available on Aliexpress... thinking if I want to get to get a set so I can preserve the factory pieces, lol. I'm pretty rough on my keys and my current remote is already shattered to pieces.

Pretty cheap, around $10 per colour after coupons and discounts.

Nah, it doesn't look like that and the real color is not obscured. :)
