Sonoma WC GT racing this coming weekend. Double header with Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.

The rub is that I will not be around a computer during the practice, qualifying and the races; so, somebody else needs to step up and post practice, qualifying and race results.

A week late but that's okay.

The last Balance of Performance changes before Somona kept the CTS V.Rs at 3050 pounds and it showed again. Johnny was only able to finish 5th and 8th in the double header races at Somoma. Andy managed 8th and 10th.

That tightened up the driver standings and manufacturer standings.

Johnny is still leading the driver points with 1376 with Mike Skeen second at 1334 points.
Audi was able to jump over Cadillac in manufacturer standings with 85 points to Cadillac's 78.

World Challenge's Balance of Performance adjustments is working as desired for them - they kept Johnny from running away with the drivers championship and allowed Audi to take the lead in manufacture points.

Less than a week after the Somona race, World Challenge rebalanced the cars by allowing the CTS V.R to drop down to 2975 pounds. That's a 75 reduction in weight for them. The older Porsche 911 GT3 cars got a 25# reduction in weight. I hope a 75 pound weight reduction will allow Johnny and Andy to be competitive again.
