I am running Billy Boat Exhaust long Tube Headers and recently had to swap out my #6 spark plug wire, which is the third cylinder on the passenger’s side.

In doing so, I had to remove my radiator surge tank. After inspecting the surge tank, I found that the rear corner of it that faces the headers was melted a bit. So, I cleaned up that corner really well and installed cool tape to help mitigate the heat on it.

I’m very curious to know if there are any aftermarket radiator surge tanks that are made for our V3s that are worth considering…especially with those of us with Long Tube Headers. If you know of any, please provide a link to it/them.

I do plan on buying a new surge tank anyways as the one I have has some residue that I can’t get out.

Thanks guys.
