So partly based on the urging of folks on this forum, partly because of FOMO, and partly because I enjoy spirited drives on mountain and canyon roads here in SoCal, I decided to add the precision package to my CT5 V BW 6MT, which I should be getting in a few weeks. I plan to use this car as a daily in Los Angeles with the occasional twisty road excursion or fun road trip. I have a different car (718 GTS 4.0 6MT) for AX or committed sports car duty. But I figured if the precision package brings some of the same communication and responsiveness I've grown accustomed to my Porsche to a much bigger car (and spare me some brake dust in the offing), it'll be worth it to me.
My questions are:
1. For those who are not using their PP BWs as dedicated track toys, are there any specific configuration settings I should specify when the car is delivered to make it suitable for road use?
2. Should any additional components that ship with the car be installed at the dealership? I assume the additional toe links are for track-focused alignments, but is there any reason to install them on a road car?
3. Anything else I should know about the package?
Thanks!
