Man, I just finished changing my oil on my car, and they DO NOT make that oil filter easy to unscrew and replace. There are a bar and a screw/bolt conveniently located to give like three inches of turning space.

I bought/ used ramps, but even skinny as I am ( kinda ) it’s a tight squeeze! Thank god my neighbor is going to let me use his lift for future work!

I guess it depends on the ramps you purchased, but I'm a big dude (6'-3" 250lbs) and really don't have much issue getting under the car with race ramps. I guess I've just acclimated to having the bottom of the car a few inches from my face?

I'd recommend getting a filter socket that allows a ratchet and extension to remove. It removes the issue of tight confines.

What race ramp setup do you use?
Bonus points if you happen to have any photos you took of the ramp setup... I'm thinking ahead to the first oil change on mine and thinking about whether or not I need new, more gradual, ramps. Too much stuff in the garage to get at the front of the car right now but I'm thinking new ones will need a spot in the budget.

I use the 67” Race Ramps with 10” of lift, no issue with a good filter wrench. I also add oil absorbing pads on the cross bar mentioned to catch any drips. I’ve change my oil 4 times thus far with no problems.

That looks like its straight out of the Supercar bottle. I drain under-mile oil all the time, but it never looks THAT good.

That looks like brand new oil!

I was finally able to locate a set of race ramps from some obscure shop out in California. Their factory burned down last year and they are pretty much not selling any of their products anymore while they rebuild.

That oil had roughly 400 miles of use this time. The 5BW is not my daily driver and I change the oil annually regardless of the miles due to short trips lately and to keep the oil fresh. When I drained it recently, I could smell the increase of raw fuel from the short trips. This car has less than 2k total miles, but does have a climate controlled garage otherwise. :) My 16' Z06 has about the same miles. I recently traded my 22' GMC truck that had over 20k miles and was technically my DD.

Over the last couple of years, I was traveling a lot, so didn't have much time to drive it, plus I otherwise work from home. I have 3 vehicles to choose from (16' Z06, 22' 5BW, 26' X5) when I do drive. I plan to enjoy the 5BW a little more and on some longer drives as my travel has been temporarily reduced.
