Pulled the trigger on a Sebring edition, bought from Sewell in Grapevine. Very excited to get it in my hands:

I've been looking around the forum a bit, @so 650 I'm hoping you're OK if I pick your brain a bit on care for the paint and how happy you've been with your PPF

Nice looking car! I bought mine at Sewell Dallas and had it trucked out to the Bay Area. Are you driving yours home?

Mine has a full wrap with Xpel Stealth, which I'm very happy with. Actually the glossy bits have glossy PPF, and I did get the front splitter re-wrapped after I scraped up the PPF more than I was happy about seeing. I've since put on SLIPLO skid thingies and I'm happy with those too.

@Sebring20 is a member of the forum too, and when I met him his car had just the front wrapped. In bright light you could see the difference, that the wrap dulls the frost point slightly. The flip side is that I have a few small rock dings in my PPF that I'm sure enough are not in the paint that it's not stressing me out. So as the guy I paid thousands of dollars to for the wrap said "it might look 10% less cool, but you'll feel a lot better".

Enjoy, and welcome!

I'm shipping it, enclosed. Might have thought about open if it wasn't a matte paint, but didn't want to expose that paint to road grime on a trailer for 1700 miles. I would have entertained driving it back if it was June, but for similar reasons to shipping it enclosed, I didn't want to drive it through Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and eastern Oregon this time of year in a 3 day marathon of 12 hour days. Taking my time driving it back would be nice, but work calls right now, and I wanted to make a thoughtful decision on paint protection before putting significant miles on it.

Not sure I'll be able to wait for wrap once it gets here though, I'm itching to drive it

New or CPO?

Congrats the car looks great. Definitely get it PPF'd immediately, that paint looks amazing. Do you mind sharing how much you paid?
I will admit that I paid probably a little more than I should have(possibly? I found there doesn't seem to be much room to negotiate on the IMSA editions), but I justify that due to me requiring one with no sunroof, as I don't fit in either the CT4 or CT5 with the sunroof, and finding one without proved to be very difficult. Paid 68k.

No that is a pretty good price seeing the very low mileage and the MSRP on those special edition plus paint is almost touching 90k. Plus being certified warrantied you get that extra year.

I wouldn't feel bad about it. When you're smoking the tires, the last thing on your mind will be what you spent. I bought my IMSA with the same mileage in July 2024 for just under 70.
