Hello. Just got my order in last week for a coastal blue metallic ct5v bw with 6mt at Sewell Dallas. Would've loved to go with white, but it was too boring of a white. the blue is gorgeous though.

I'm pretty excited. I may have already gone through most of the bw posts in that sub forum, read the whole manual, & a couple of test drives of the automatic.

I'm coming from a 2014 6mt Ford Fusion. I've been looking for another manual to upgrade to, since I've had the fusion for 11 years now. Everything i found was a much smaller car until I somehow stumbled upon the ct5v. I'm in love & can't wait to get this thing.

Congrats man. Hopefully you don’t have to wait as long as some folks have. I got lucky and had a come up from someone else changing their mind about their order after the car was already in production. It’s been in transit for the last month plus, and it finally arrived on Friday. I go to pick it up tomorrow: Typhoon Metallic, MT, Tan interior, bronze calipers, packing package… only thing it’s missing is the bronze wheels, and I’ve got some aftermarket ones on the way.

What packages did you order? The Coastal Blue was my second choice if I couldn’t find the one I’d have ordered… but the stars aligned!

Coastal Blue Metallic
Blue calipers
Satin graphite wheels
I'll buy black lugs myself
Regular seats since the misses want comfy in the high performance bucket seats
Black nameplates
Parking package
Sunroof
& PDR

I'm also happy because also the comfort/convenience things I'm used to with the fusion are in this: windows up/down with the fob, manual, sunroof, all windows are auto down/up (i hate this way too much in cars without them).

Stoked for you my dude

So after having mine updated to a MY2026 & some other issues, I finally got an email from Cadillac that my order was officially received/approved.

Welcome aboard and glad to have you. I used the same dealer to pick up my in stock unit. I'm having a blast with it and I'm sure you will too. Don't forget to post pictures when your baby arrives. All the best on holding your patience with the wait time.

Are you based in Dallas or drive it back somewhere else?

Where is everyone getting their status codes? & Where do you get the VIN? I got the email saying mine's about to ship, but no VIN attached.

I used the Cadillac chat bot and asked it based on the order ID they emailed me when it was accepted. Had to get the VIN from the dealer as the chat bot didn’t have anything useful for info once the production week passed.

Got it

Got it, thank you.

A lot of times the car will show up in the dealer inventory on their website, You might find your car there (may be noted as in transit).

Lol I've been checking every day since the 10th when I got the email saying it was built. I'm so excited!!!!!

The delivery times have been getting better but they've been highly variable and the dates you're given are rarely the actual date to expect. My sales guy said the only time to get excited is when it's offloading the train and getting on the truck for the last few hours. At that point you're only a day or two away from delivery.

Once you're done suffering through the wait, then you get to suffer through the 1500mi break-in period.

My break-in should go fast since I'll be driving from Dallas back to Phoenix. So 3-4 days, but covering about 2/3 the break-in.

Keep in mind that it is suggested that during the breakin that you do not drive a constant speed for too long. Try to vary your speeds.

Yep the game plan is to vary the speeds on the highway but also stop in the various cities along the way & drive around a bit before getting back on the highway.
