Nav Zoom question

Ct4 BW manual.
I must be loosing it. So when navigation is in route guidance mode - you can use the second knob (check mark ) to zoom map in and out.

When navigation is just in map mode - without route guidance - check mark knob is doing Radio station frequency search. I swear it used to do zoom in/out as well. Is that a setting ?

Car sat overnight and now back to map zoom in/out with Check mark knob. Facinating.

Do you use the in-car nav over Android Auto or CarPlay? I always use Waze (via Android Auto).

I'll have to try it. I have the GPS turned off in the menu (insurance tracking). I like Waze, since it has crowd sourced location for law enforcement.

Google owns Waze so it has implemented the crowd source notices into Google Maps. It even pulls data from Waze. For example, I just saw a notice that said police ahead and indicated that info came from both Google Maps and Waze users.

Check out Highway Radar. I use it on longer drives. It's much quicker at pulling the crowd sourced data (and integrates with my Uniden R4). The downfall is that it only works on the phone.

Is Highway Radar an app that will show up in CarPlay? If it is just confined to the phone then no go as I do not have a phone holder in the car.

That's the downfall, it doesn't work with CarPlay or Android Auto. On the 4BW, I put a stand on top of the wireless charging pad. I can see my phone in landscape mode.
