Finally some numbers behind the claim I've been making since the Precision Package first became available: that the Cup2R tires alone would make up the large majority of any performance improvements.

Wish they had a benchmark in that article from the non-PP cars they previously tested.

But the gap they measured between the tires alone is huge (.13g)!
The 1.00g on PS4S's is the lowest I've seen. I've seen published everything from 1.02 to 1.08g.

I think the fact that they are minimizing the variables and using their own skidpad and testing protocols makes the delta pretty reliable.

Like dynos, “after” results don’t mean much without a controlled procedure and baseline from the same dyno.

Most of this applies to our BWs as well.

Watched this last night. Too many people are getting comfortable with driving aids, resulting in total losses once turned off. These cars have way too much torque for a casual driver to turn off.

They also say that the launch control is calibrated better…has anyone heard of calibration enhancements ASIDE from the precision pack? I didn’t think programmatically anything was different in a 22-24 vs 25-26. If there is, curious about getting the updated firmware.

They previously tested a pre facelift model that accelerated, stopped, gripped, and figure eighted (is that a word?) better than the precision pack on PS4S.

Maybe the PP is tuned specifically to exploit the cup 2R tires?

Burn it with fire

Isn't that at Sewell? Listed at $139,995? Something wrong with that ad....@speedygonzalez

Never heard of a Cybertruck Beast before nor do I know what makes it more beastly than a standard Cybertruck - which is certainly somewhat quick off the line.

That being said I took (I''m assuming a standard) one pretty good well into triple digits (from a bit of a roll) several months back in my (beastly....slightly modded but not tuned) CT 4 V Blackwing.

Have to admit I felt pretty good about it. He repeatedly tried to get me to go from several lights and I wasn't willing until we got to a more wide open road section....then I took it to him pretty good (2-3 car lengths or so). He was obviously shocked as he finally blew past me around 140 or so as I had leveled out and was coasting at that point...

A good short video of the 5BW in action.
Ho hum, let’s turn off all the nanny’s on a track never driven before and go demolish an instructor’s expected lap times by 10 seconds! 😜

Does anyone know which track layout they used? In the video they said “full course” and showed a map of MIA, but as mighty as the 5BWs are, there’s no way they lapped the full course in the 1:30’s. F1 cars lap in the high 1:20’s! Ferrari FXX’s are in the 1:40’s…
