I learned to drive in a 1963 VW. With a dead battery I could sit in the drivers seat, open the door, push a few times with just left leg, pop the clutch and go.

Same with my '78 Mazda GLC. Super easy to pop start. In fact, it started once on it's own when I was about 30' away (on a hill) & I had to catch it!
