V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2012 CTS-V Wagon
Just took out-of-state delivery of a 2026 CT5-V Blackwing and I wanted to ask if I'm supposed to get a keycard in addition to the two keyfobs.

I had read conflicting things online that some 2025-6 Cadillacs were getting a keycard, but it wasn't clear to me if that was the case with the CT-5 and the dealer is closed for the day, so I thought I'd just ask the gang here.

Thanks!

OK thanks! Is the hardware for reading the keycard present?
I'm just trying to understand if Digital Key is likely to happen for these cars.

Fair. It looks like this is rolling on out on models that are new in 2025 and up, starting with the EVs.

In my EV experience, the card is a last resort should your phone or fob have a flat battery. I'll take a physical key hidden in the fob, thank you.

I was mostly interested in it for the implementation (rolling out now on the Cadillac EVs) of Digital Key to let us just use our phones and UWB and skip the fob altogether. It's one of the things that actually works really well on Teslas.

Tesla phone key works pretty good, but not all OEM's have solved the engineering. My wife's Lucid phone key implementation is awful. It's cool to grab your phone and wallet and roll out, but no fob means no house key, so that is why I went back to fob-life when I drive her car. I'm sure the next gen CT5 will have it and a physical fob will be a new revenue stream (dealer option).
