CT5-V Brake Duct Info

CT5-V Model
Be aware that they can end up directing rocks and road debris into the brakes and wheels.

I guess I'm removing them this weekend. The dealership is 5+ hours away, I'm not driving back there.

Is there another protector or shroud that goes in its place? If so, i'm sure they tossed it. Looking at the directions posted on the previous page, I'm assuming not.

In order for the duct to properly work as intended, the Front Tire Deflectors would need to be removed. See Page 177 of the 2026 Owners Manual.

Hopefully the dealership didn't remove them.

Should the car come with a hard copy of the Owners Manual or is it digital only now? ... Might have to avoid this dealer in the future...

The fact they tried to tell you/sell you its an accessory would be enough for me to look elsewhere.

I must be a moron.

"Install the rear lower control arm cooling deflectors" but in the picture its labeled "Front Lower Control Arm Deflector"

Is this not the piece i think it is? I must be over complicating this. It can't possibly this is difficult.

I can only speak from my experience with a PP car. The brake ducts were installed; the tire deflectors were not removed; the special rear toe-links were installed. I do not know if any of these items were installed at the factory or by the dealer.

There is a link on a thread here somewhere that will take you to the owner's manual. I did not get a printed one with the vehicle.

The Parts, Service, and Sales departments always seem to never know what the other department is doing .. surprise, surprise.

Yeah, seems to be a theme.

Item 1 in the diagram appears to match the deflector in the photo you posted.

Right, but whats clear to my pea brain- is that the piece that's supposed to be for track only? or is that the rock deflector that's supposed to be on the car for regular road use?

I believe 'rock guards' behind wheels are what you put on Subaru's. These are not brake ducts.
