Hi all, new to this forum but I've been lurking for months.

I currently daily a 24 Integra Type S which I LOVE but I've never owned a powerful, RWD manual car with great dynamics. I've been considering trading in the ITS for a 26 CT4V BW, but was curious about whether it will be as fun as the ITS at legalish speeds.

I commute very random times to work (shift work in an ER) so I dont get stuck in traffic, and do a mix of suburban roads, highways and take the long way home though canyon roads whenever I can. The ITS is amazing on the suburban and canyon roads, meh on the highway (noisy af at 70mph plus), but its super fun to row the gears and I can wring it out without hitting jail speeds. I know the Blackwing is in a different league performance wise, but for a young dad who will never track it and has limited time to enjoy it outside of daily driving, is it worth it? Btw, I care far more about dynamics than luxury, the ITS is barely premium and thats enough for me.

If I don't trade it for a CT4VBW, Ill probably get a camaro 1ss with le package as a second car to get the same feeling

Depends what fun is for you. I get pretty creative in the city without getting uber-fast, lighting them up, drifting. I work with what the environment presents.

Yes it is fun in regular driving if you get the manual. The shifter and pedals all feel amazing and it’s fun to just row the gears without breaking the law. When you want to get crazy it’s there. I traded in a CLA45 AMG for my Blackwing because it was only fun when you had your foot all the way in it. Blackwing is fun all the time. I also own a Miata 6 speed and the Blackwing is pretty close to being just as fun in regular driving.

Ok this hits the nail on the head, exactly what I wanted to know. Ty!! Now I just have to decide on a color lol

Also you have the exact garage I was planning on if I got the BW since I love having a light car to throw around

Coincidentally, you can think of the 4BW being a Camaro with 4 doors and actual outward visibility, lol.

Yup that's pretty much why I was looking at the Camaro if I don't get a blackwing because I really like the alpha chassis

As for a fun daily, absolutely. I have a 4 day a week, 100 mile round trip. It does the bumper to bumper in comfort and when an opportunity presents itself, you are having fun at legal, legal-ish and well beyond legal speeds. Mine is a '25 6sp that now as 17k miles on it. The stable mate is a C6 narrow body 6sp that has been the weekend warrior that would average around 4k+ miles a year over the last 6 years of ownership. This year, I will be lucky to put 1k miles on it. I always grab the BW keys now. The comfort, the speed, the enjoyment is a perfect balance for how you feel like you want to drive.

I would keep what you have unless you just want to try something different. I used to have a 23 Honda Civic type r. I found better cars so I'm not going back to that one. The small fuel tank on the CTR was annoying along with feedback from my kids that the car was simply geeky.

Had my 4BW up to 150 MPH.......felt fine. No chassis lift or anything. That's with the regular aero. With the full carbon aero, NOO problems.
