Happy 4th of July.

I'll be cooking a big piece of meat in the smoker tomorrow, throwing down a few beers

and maybe some Jack

after dark. Our town allows fireworks

but I don't buy any. There's plenty of other people setting them off so I'll have a lot to look at and listen to tomorrow night. The Vagon will be in the garage and the grass watered.

Hope everyone has a great time on this holiday!

Well, I lived through the weekend. The smoked meat turned out okay - the rub recipe I used was pretty spicy. Need to tweak it for less peppers for next time.
Only had a few rocket parts in my yard Saturday morning.
I worked at the local railway museum all day Saturday then mowed the grass.
Recovered on Sunday.
Now back to our regularly scheduled work days and today is a Monday. Yuk!

Spent the 4th of July weekend at the lake with friends soaking up the sun and quenching my thirst with a few beers. About 100 degrees on Saturday... weather was BEAUTIFUL!!!
