How many miles on the odometer at pickup?

Mine was supposed to have 3 or 4 as it was a custom order, but when I showed up to take delivery, there was 9 on it. Salesman never gave an answer as to how that happened even though I asked plainly, and I later found out that the vehicle had been taken to the service department between when they received it and when I picked it up without my knowledge for electrical issues that have since resulted the car being declared a lemon. This was from a certain member of "rodeo royalty".

Pictures from when it arrived at Sewell showed 3 miles. I think it was driven somewhere for a TX inspection and a fillup (I had onstar access by then and saw the fuel/range increase). It had 5 miles when it was unloaded from the transport in CA.

What was the process like getting the car registered in CA from out of state?

Picked mine up at Sewell in Dallas. Had 13 on mine but had tint and ceramic applied at a shop that was down the road. It was nice to have that done while I was waiting to fly in from out of state.

Sewell uses dealerdoc.com and it was pretty painless. I had to sign a couple limited power of attorney docs to allow them to do the registration. I needed a dmv vin inspection (pro-tip: you just drive up to the drive-through and someone comes out and does it -- no cost and no appointment). The dealer sent me a TX paper temporary tag (and later a metal one -- my car arrived during the transition from paper to metal temp tags) I had to get a smog check. Eventually dealerdoc.com shipped me my CA sequential plates.

Sounds good. That will make my next car search a little easier.

My 25' BW 6speed was in the show room and had 40 miles on it. I showed up in my 21' rs7 ready to make a deal and they still wouldn't let me test drive it. Bought it without driving it but knew it would be amazing

5 miles off the show room floor

125 miles used at pickup, 1 year old '24. Unicorn. Summer tires only and going into storage Tuesday. Or tell me the Winter only OEM 275/305 sized tires they don't make so I can keep it on the road on snow/wet wet wet sleet rut rivers and rain hydroplaning suprise confidence.

I'm at 500 miles on the odometer now. Nutz. Not thrilled about hydroplaning but a 5000lbs car, so. Well, I don't know.

Low mileage is not a good thing at a year or two or 10.

ps, Costco will not install square sizes all around if the OEM spec calls for split tire sizes ie 275/305. So, no winter tires from them. Thanks GM.

Forget Costco. Find yourself a no-name tire shop in a rundown strip mall where they barely speak English and only take cash. They'll put whatever you want on a car. When I was younger and poorer I once asked such a shop to rotate my tires, one of them had a visible goose egg in the sidewall. They didn't blink and didn't ask questions.

Just like the title says, how many miles were on the car when you bought it? & was it an order you put in or bought off the lot?
Mine came in as an order for someone that changed their mind. I swooped that bish as it was exactly what I’d been looking for/would have ordered myself (except it didn’t have bronze wheels). When I picked it up it had 5 miles on it.

I bought mine for n Nevada and had to register it in Cali. It was a bit of a nuisance. I had to get proof of taxes paid from the dealership and pay the difference.

I’m lucky though, I went in to the local DMV of my small town and it only took 15 minutes.
