CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

Yes, I’ve been through that and it’s the financial person that always tries to get the add ons. I bought my 4 BW last November and as I was signing the papers the cutesy 30 something woman in a short skirt tried her charms to get me to buy extended warranty, wheel and tire protection, paint less dent repair and other crap. I told her, I know you get ranked and evaluated on how many extras you can shill out, but I don’t want any of it and if you bring it up for the fourth time I’m walking out….
I don't know how to be confrontational like you. If I was in your shoes on that day, I could certainly refuse all those add ons but not sure I could talk to her in that firm manner. I'd probably be looking at her legs and short skirt and occasionally at her face, while blurting out something like "no I don't want that, and that , and that"

My son was friends with the dealer's son. The dealer introduced me to the GM and said to take care of us personally.

The order/allocation was a cluster fuck. When the car arrived and we sat down to figure out sale price; I almost walked. We had originally agreed to a pretty significant Supplier discount. When the GM tried to run the code; it didn't work. That's when he realized that the codes didn't work on BWs. I assumed a GM would know his system.

The GM apologized but made 0 consessions and said MSRP was the best he could do. I got up to leave but my wife was (and had always been) the voice of reason.

So while I understand sticking to your principles; there is nothing but pain in the car buying process.

1)Glad you got your car
2)Yes, the GM should have been aware
3) I don't think he was trying to pull a fast one on you (as non BW CT 4/5's typically qualify for offers... and these are so low volume that they may not have dealt with many of them and didn't notice their own fine print)

Honestly that's pretty shitty of them to jump all the way from supplier to MSRP. They should've done the deal at least at what they would've made off the supplier deal (about 5% profit) vs msrp (about 12% profit).

You had connections and still had bad experience 😞. That tells me a lot about the dealership.

Needless to say, they lost customers and I for sure am not going back to that dealership (even though the sales person was really nice and would love to give him more business)
