My 5 is at detail shop getting the works…. Wheels off for ceramic and they noticed a piece of the drivers side fender underneath….. thats just great !!! When i picked up car, drivers side spring spacer was missing Dealer trying to get
Me a replacement. So this happened while loading or unloading the car ?

Looks like some glue residue.
 
Really looks like something on the surface. I'd try to remove it before I'd have someone get another part and try to paint match it (and possibly see a body repair in the car history to boot!) Should take just a few minutes to peel the PPF back and try to scrape it off.

its into the fender……now covered in ppf Shit
