Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

It's a love/hate thing.

Every time I'd get P.O.'d at BMW, I'd go buy a Mercedes or an Audi or a Chevy (SS) and then I'd go back.

When I told the wife that I was buying a Cadillac, she said "I give it 9 months". We will prove her wrong!

For those who have purchased 2024 4BW's, have you been able to get any discounts?

I have seen dealers with 4BWs automatics list them with discounted prices, but those were probably '23s.

I see one other MTX 5VBW listed on the cadillac search under MSRP:
Bayway in Woodlands TX has a MTX 5VBW for $2k under MSRP @ $101,755
**HOLD ON - the MSRP is $101,755. I quit
might be a trick - or do they add the gas guzzler tax on outside the sticker?
Much easier to find 5VBWs listed over MSRP

Hello Everyone. Maybe this is the one that I picked up this weekend (?) Matched everything on my order except the gray seats. (just can’t wait any more)

Here is the story: Messaged Bayway when it showed up on Cadillac.com. Worked with Rudy. We started at +$10k. I asked if letting them do a loan would help and he got it dropped to MSRP. They shared all of the paperwork via email and got the car prepped for the next day. Flew in Saturday morning to pick it up. Everything from there went… Great! Rudy picked me up at the airport, car was ready, no surprises, grabbed a water and banana and hit the road.

The MSRP of your used 120th Anniversary Edition was $135k and you're selling it for $155k? Advertising "Price Reduced!" on 5BWs that are still listed as $15k over MSRP? Give me a break. This thread exists to avoid dealers like this, not to promote them.

With all due respect, a potential buyer shouldn't have to call and mention this forum and then discuss pricing. In 2023 these cars can be found at MSRP easily enough. I looked at your dealer's inventory and was completely put off by the markups and went elsewhere. I was a SINCERE buyer with cash in hand, but I'm not haggling down what was a $25k markup.

I ended up calling the dealer I bought from, and the first thing they said was the car was MSRP with no mandatory add ons. Didn't matter what car I wanted, 4BW, 5BW, Escalade V, it would be MSRP. I placed an order right then and there and it was the easiest car buying experience of my life.

Yeah, that was kind of my thinking. I bought a car off the lot at MSRP without having to haggle and no questions about my sincerity. I didn't want to flame one of our supporting vendors - thank you for that - but I'm sure you understand that a $25K markup is not something that most buyers would realistically expect to be dropped at the first request.

I don't disagree in principle with what has been said. I think if you're a forum sponsor, there is a level of expectation on how potential customers will be treated.

I will say though that I did get my 4VBW from Delaware Caddy and had a great experience. One of the easiest buying experiences I've had.
