Dealer recommendations Chicago suburbs

I don't know if this a taboo subject, but does anyone have recommendations on which dealers in the Chicago suburbs are OK to deal with & which ones to stay away from?

I've looked at 2 dealers & have mixed feelings about ordering a car from either one.

Also, is GM giving any military discounts on Blackwings? I did find any.

I passed on all the north suburbs Cadillac dealers back in 2023-2024…they all wanted over msrp…ordered from a Michigan dealer with high blackwing volume and received my blackwing at msrp…no games.

I had a good experience with Joe Ignoffo at Heritage Cadillac in Lombard, where I bought from. I also had a good experience with Erin P at Patrick Cadillac in Schaumburg, I initially placed an order with her but they did not have an allocation and I grew impatient and got a good deal at Heritage. It’s funny though because another salesman at Heritage would not respond to my emails and I just went in one day and met Joe on the lot and he was great. No BS, no games, straight shooter and gave me a good deal.

I heard nothing but good things about Heritage. Got on the allocation list with Joe Ignoffo, but by the time he called 4 months later with an allocation, I already purchased a slightly used one. He placed an a dealership order just before I contacted him (he said), so that's how long it took to get another allocation for a 4bw in the beginning of this year.

Another for Heritage. Chuck Hughes was the man but unfortunately, fortunate for him, retired recently. He put my order in for a loaded BW5 April of '21 and delivered Dec '21. That was during the heart of the goat rodeo.

I'm in Chicago as well, but I've had to go to out of state dealers to buy my V-series cars. For this car, I bought it from Sewell Cadillac in Dallas, TX and they were excellent to deal with. My 2010 I bought from a dealer in Michigan.

I typically go through 'the guy' who is on the forums saying he's got allocations. Whatever you are trying to buy, there's always one sales guy that's very active on that particular forum that will sell you a car at MSRP and give you a decent value on your trade. That's the guy I use. On these forums, that guy WAS Dustin Callaway from Sewell in Dallas, but he got out of the car game...

NOTE: I tried to buy my BW from Patrick Cadillac in Schaumburg, but they couldn't get an allocation.

For service, I use Motorwerks Cadillac in Barrington, IL.

Dustin did step away for a while about a year ago but he came back a few months later. Unless he has stepped away a second time within the past couple of months, he is still the Blackwing King. I picked up a car from him 2 months ago.

Got my car from Heritage. Cadillac hotline actually recommended them as one of the dealers to get a blackwing. Initially they wanted to tag on some dealer options, paint/leather protection. I declined. A week later they called back and said MSRP is OK. I ordered in Feb 22 got it July 22. I did everything through phone and email. First time setting foot on the dealer floor was at pickup. Everything went very smooth!
Had bad experiences with northern dealers, way over MSRP.
