It looks like the timeline has been pushed out. Originally they said q1 build. I checked with my concierge a couple of days ago. The parts are all ordered and they are expecting it to be built q2 or q3. She doesn’t know the build order yet so I don’t know where I am in line.

Mine is in production now. The concierge still says q2 or q3 delivery. It has a vin already.

Got an update from my concierge this morning. It has been pushed out to a completion date of 11/2. It’s gone from q1/q2 delivery all the way to q4. Not much I can do about it. The price is locked in. Just gives me more time to use my GM card before it comes in. I’ll barely get to use it before it gets put away for the winter.

This will be longer than getting my first 5bw in oct ‘22. I’ll be a little over a year without a goat rodeo. That took me about 10.5 months from first order until delivery.

That ribbon hanging from the trunk release gives me an idea for when I put my car into winter storage again. This past winter I just never hooked up my trickle charger and the battery died. A flat ribbon or cord would have been great to have as a backup to getting into a dead car.

Just so people know. It came via reliable carriers just like that, no plastic on the outside paint etc. Seats and interior had normal covers though.

My guess is since these are all hand painted they want zero risk of damage to the paint from the normal plastic / covers which makes sense. My dealer is also not washing it or touching the outside. Going straight to my ceramic PPF guy.

Wow, seriously bad ass. Interesting factoid, Sewell has one for sale and it has been on the market for a few weeks now. I wonder what happened - the buyer must have backed out? Also, one has to wonder who will step up to the plate for $200K+ on someone else’s bespoke build? This color combo is (IMHO) OK, but certainly doesn’t scream out to me as a must have (the interior doesn’t really do it for me relative to the exterior)

I was thinking the same thing. The whole point of the Curated program is that you pay a high premium but you get the exact color combination you dream of. Not likely anyone else has the same taste as the original person who ordered it. I feel bad for Sewell as they have a very expensive car that will be hard to move at that price. They will need to wait a long time for just the right buyer or lower the price such that they would likely lose money on the sale.
