Need help fellas. Currently own a 2024 4BW.

It was my first ever ordered car from factory. The 5 was out of my budget at the time so I went with the 4. Coastal blue, 6M, bare bone options (not a carbon fiber guy), red calipers, tan interior. It was the perfect build for me. The car is a blast. Love it beyond.

I've found a 24 5BW with identical build other than having a PDR. It's black interior and doesn't have the red calipers. Same mileage, no carbon. I hate all black interior. I love my tan and I love the way my 4 has the red accents especially the calipers. This was my "dream' combination.

I need advice to pull the trigger. I want the 5 but its those 2 must haves that are killing me. Im trying to hype myself up to get over the interior and calipers but I have a chance to upgrade to the 5 which is what I wanted when I bought my 4 in 24.

Please tell me to get over the interior and calipers and get the 5BW. I'll be happier with the choice, yadda yadda.

Thanks

Here's my 4 and the 5 that I'm looking at.

Really tough to get over an interior you don't like. OTOH not too hard to get color on brake calipers. I say pass. Good luck with your decision!

I'd probably keep shopping only because of your hang ups on the interior color. On the flip side, you'll never notice the interior color when the exhaust opens up.

My original order (by me) 5BW is fairly low spec: red seat belts, red calipers, 6M, no roof, and mid-seats in sky cool gray. I picked up a second very lightly used 5BW this year that had my dream exterior color; Black Diamond Tricoat (shout out car twin @668LT4). It's a heavily optioned car which isn't necessarily how I would have ordered it, but I went with it anyway. The new one has the tan CF backed seats and a sunroof and I'm surprised how much I "see" these two things with a ever so slight disappointment. Do I have regrets, absolutely not! The overall option package/color combo is compelling and the fact that its the last of the serious front facia and proper cockpit keep me very happy.

If the exterior color is a must, then adding red seat belts, powder coating the calipers, and maybe some Llyods mats might get it within you're acceptable aesthetic zone.

Well, you can get over a car not being your exact spec, I mean, how often do you get the luxury of buying a low production vehicle in the exact spec you want without ordering it new and typically paying a stupid markup? That being said, my car has red seat belts and I absolutely despise red seat belts in any car. I bought the car anyway because it checked other boxes for me. Fast forward 6 months later and I don't regret my purchase and I got over the seat belts. I don't even pay them any attention anymore. You will certainly love the CT5 BW over the CT4 BW which may make you forget about those other options like I did.

Also fyi, this is a Canadian spec car that made its way to Indiana. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but it's in our registry.

If it’s the one at Unlimited Motors, I tried to buy that one this week. I shut the deal down when I discovered the automatic add-ons of a vehicle tracker and interior protection for $1300. I absolutely loved that car, but I refuse to support dealers like that.

It is the one at unlimited.

Tell me more about the vehicle tracker. I was not told anything about that at all but I started talking with them today.

I would assume LoJack as that is a common dealer "sneaky" way to add on something and try to sell it on value. I have had two dealers say it was there and I walked away from one deal and the other they eventually upped my trade to comp it out.

I personally would probably keep looking to answer your original question though. But it might be worth a trip to a local auto upholster to see if they maybe able to snazz it up for you within a budget that made you happy.

I also might give thought to how much road salt a Canadian car may have been exposed to. Not necessarily a deal breaker but consideration might be warranted.

Similar story here in that I wanted the 5BW, but settled for the 4BW. I do still long for that big power, but am really happy with the 4BW. With a JB4 your at 550hp and still getting 25mpg. The 5BW has greatly outsold the 4BW, with the 5BW continuing on while the 4BW has been discontinued. Who knows what they'll be worth in the future, but the 4BW is the much rarer car.

I vote to hang on to the only car you ever ordered brand new. Mine is my first new car and will be the only new car I ever own.

I had the same option on the sticker, $1,500.00 for security package. I just made it part of the sale that they disable the service and take the charge off or I was not buying. Worked for me, they removed it.

5BW Coastal blue 6 speed is my vote but I’m biased…I don’t think interior color is a dealbreaker on this car as it really feels good driving the 5 and you will grow to like the interior I suspect

I didn’t go look at it since I was in Chicago. When they countered my offer with an out the door price, I realized the number was off. When I asked why he mentioned the 1300. Here is the conversation. I was quite bummed as I love the color. Ended up with a black 22 w/11k miles.
