V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2023 CT5-V Blackwing
Has anyone been able to get in touch with the GM Performance Build Center in Bowling Green, KY?

I recently purchased a second OEM supercharger lid for my CT5-V Blackwing and had it powder coated. Unfortunately, the engine builder plaque was damaged when transferring it from the original lid. My engine was built by Kaleb Dudley.

I first reached out to Cadillac Customer Service, but they weren’t able to provide any guidance on how to get a replacement plaque or connect me with the Performance Build Center. This morning, I also sent an email to socialmedia@gm.com in hopes of getting some direction.

I thought I’d check here to see if anyone has gone through this process before. Has anyone successfully obtained a replacement plaque? If so, what was the process, and do you have any contact information for the Performance Build Center?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe check with one of the Corvette forums. LT4 and LT5 engines on the Vettes have an option for the future owner to do an engine build on their own car and I think the plaque has their name on it.

I’ve been very disappointed with Cadillac Customer Care so far. Their only suggestion has been to contact the selling dealer. Since I purchased my CT5-V Blackwing used from a non-Cadillac dealer, that’s not a viable option. Today I located the main switchboard number for the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, and I plan to try calling to see if I can be transferred to the Performance Build Center.

Maybe try writing an email or PM'ing the Cadillac Care member that sometimes posts here. In 2025, phone calls are the least likely path to reach someone in a giant corporation that can actually help.

Worth a shot. So far, I'm not having much luck.

Yesterday, I called the switchboard at the Bowling Green assembly plant and asked if I could be transferred to the Performance Build Center. I ended up being transferred to Chevrolet Customer Care. Ugh!

My saga of getting a replacement builder plaque has finally come to a happy ending.

About three weeks ago, I took my BW to a Ford vs. Ferrari car show at a local Ford dealership. While I was walking around taking pics (I run a website that promotes car shows around Central Ohio), I came across a Mustang that had some really nice metal signs mounted on the radiator cover.

I know the owner of the Mustang a little bit, so I asked where he got them made. He gave me the contact info, and—lo and behold—this is what I received in the mail today. The plaques don’t have officially licensed Cadillac logos, but they’re close enough for me!

I had absolutely zero luck getting in touch with anyone who could help me get an “official” replacement plaque, so I had to resort to a custom sign instead.

PM me if you’d like the contact info. Her main focus is Mustang logos, but as you can see, she’s able to produce any customized metal signs as well.
