Brake kit for 5BW

I’m looking at a few BW’s that have CCB and wondering if for daily driver street car I buy some steel brakes and save the CCB’s?

Any Corvette/Camaro ZL1 brakes bolt straight up?

Best other option?

What are you trying to save on them? Rotors will last a long time if you're just driving roads. Someone tried to make the swap opposite of you. The car is programmed based on which brake package you have and gave them problems IIRC.

If you watch the original savagegeese video they spend quite a bit of time talking about the CCB. The link below should start at the brake discussion. TL;DR - As Evil said, on a street only application the rotors should last the life of the car.

Essex does not have a solution. I contracted them and they require a 5BW for a while to be able to fab something.

There might be one option out there. It I have not pursued it yet.

Thanks for the useful post. Glad to hear the Blackwing CCB rotors seem to hold up better than Vette. I may just do a couple of track days and see how they look

Did you get Alcon to make steel rotors for the CT5 or for a different car?

Greg at Electron Sport worked with them. I just helped him out with the rotors to measure.
