Blackwing Constraints Tracker

So my dealer just called on my order I placed last month and said they got an allocation and they could place the order for my shadow metallic car if I wanted no carbon fiber. I said “fml” and told them the car looks naked without it. So I lost that spot. Wtf Cadillac

Yeah, from my understanding, once they get an allocation there may constraints on available options. When we got an allocation, they said that there were very few CF1 and maybe (4!) CF2 packages available for it. They were nice enough to submit two orders with the first having all the features I wanted and the second with what was most likely available on the condition that I buy whichever was picked up. Honestly, I would have waited if none were available and then re-evaluated the car after supply constraints ease...whenever that is!

Since constraints seem to be the hot topic as of late, I figured it'd be easier to digest the weekly reports into a table, versus having to read through multiple threads across the site to get the same info. I'll try to update this post weekly on Thursdays when the information is available.

This is good information.
I guess we're not getting constraints or allocations this week. Checked again and nothing is posted... so my prediction from last week of zero allocations (for production Christmas week) so far is true. If it holds, next week (for production New Years week) will be the same, zero allocations, and then we should start see the allocations flowing again!
This is good information. But, does anyone know what the actual order backlog is on the CT5 V and BW, and how many are planned to be built each week? Not knowing those numbers prevents us from being able to estimate when our orders may be scheduled.

The exact national allocation numbers on constraints are given to dealers during the allocation process, but that's getting into sharing confidential info. Just sharing the percentages here is stretching the boundaries a bit.

OK. I understand. Thanks. Would still like to know, though, LOL. I'm at 1100 for my CT5BW Rift/Manual/Natural&Black/Polished Android Wheels...hopefully I will have it in July!

I wondered if that was the case as to why we never heard those numbers. Appreciate the candor!

No way would I ask you to break that rule but danged if I wouldn't like to know those numbers.

No new constraints or allocations posted this week, probably because of the holiday. My dealer contact seems to think the same next week, but I'll update here again next Thursday regardless. Merry Christmas everyone!
What are your thoughts on ordering without CF? I'm thinking about dropping the seats, if that will change anything. I'm just not sure it will make a difference, given the way the allocation system seems to work.

I think you'd need to drop the CF1/2 packages as well to really improve your chances. The CT5's are just barely getting built to my understanding. My dealer said there were sub 10 digits when he was allocating my BW4.

Is this to include accepted orders 3000 and higher from last may?

Not for nothing, and as I understand it, dropping CF doesn't get your car built faster. It's all about your dealer allocation. No allocation, no car. If your dealer gets an allocation, they "should" call you and say, drop the CF and we go forward. Keep the CF, allocation goes to the next guy.

Agreed My dealer back in may told me drop cf2 which i did and dis nothing to build it any faster
