I just noticed a belt squeal/squeak when starting my engine. When I let the car idle, sounds like the belt is squealing/squeaking. 2024 CT5 BW 630 miles. Anyone else have this issue? If so, what was the fix. I’ll be contacting the dealer this morning.

Same same. Haven't attempted to get it fixed yet but if the dealership fixes yours I'd love to hear what it was.

Any update on this? I notice on a cold start with my 5BW there is some intermittent chirping/squeak from the engine. Very noticeable with windows down in a parking garage. With windows up it insulates enough you can’t hear it. The squeak is more obvious when you start to go letting up on the clutch and give it a little throttle at engagement. Once warmed up it seems you don’t hear it with just idling. But clutch release still causes a squeak even when warm.

Wondering if others notice this or if mine has some issue that may get worse with time. A couple people had shredded belts or siezed superchargers, hope this is not a sign the bearing is problematic.

I had almost the exact progression on my previous 2017 Camaro ZL1. For the first couple years, there was an unusual noise on cold startup that would disappear as the engine warmed. In year two it turned into a loud squeal, which ended up being a bad bearing in the supercharger idler pulley. The pulley was replaced under warranty and the noise never returned.

Here’s a video of what that ZL1 noise sounded like for reference:

I hear the high pitched squeal sporadically in your video too but I’m not sure if that was the noise you were trying to show, as I also hear this occasional grumble where it sounds like dirt in a bearing sound.

It’s the dirt in the bearing sound that goes up and down in intensity. Towards the end of the video it almost disappears in volume as the engine warms. That sound eventually turned into a constant loud squeal that necessitated replacement of the pulley.
