Is there a way to use your remote key to make the windows automatically close ? When the car is off/parked.
****I've been looking and I think I have discovered that the windows WON'T go up automatically by pressing buttons on the fob......but it will go down by pressing buttons. I still need to figure that out now that the summer is almost upon us.

There’s a way to roll down the windows using the fob? How pray tell?

First it needs to be set to be allowed in the vehicle settings. Then press the unlock button twice and hold it the 2nd time. I think that combination works.

I tried and it didn't work....but I do believe that you are correct and I need to go into the settings. I will check tomorrow. I had a 1987 Oldsmobile that had what was called "twindows". If it started to rain and my windows were down, I could just hit the lock button twice and the windows would go up. Very nice feature.

I had a GS400 Lexus that had the same option. I thought it was the coolest thing at the time.

Hold the Lock button Down on the second click to close windows (folds the Mirrors and closes the windows... Great when its starts raining.); Hold the Unlock button down on second click to Open (Car Beeps to let you know its about to happen) 2025 BW CT5 V. I probably allowed it in my settings ??

BMW used to do this before keyless entry (it may still, I'm not sure) but only windows down, not up (d/t liability I'm sure). Years ago I had a aftermarket ODBII device that would permit this operation (via three clicks on the remote) to roll down windows on the C5 Corvette.

I don't recall seeing this setting anywhere on my car (2023) but that doesn't mean that it's not there.

Everyone read the manual and get in the car and navigate through all the settings. It's there. It works. Unlock and unlock again and hold the button to open them. Do the same with lock to close them.

End of thread.

Blasphemy. How dare you suggest people read the manual (or use Google). This topic could run another two pages. 🤪

I tried everything. Followed Forum posts. Looked on You Tube. Checked the settings. My windows do not go up or down with the key fob. I have to go to the service department and get it checked out.

The sunroof doesn’t close with this feature.

If true, another reason not to get a sunroof!

In all seriousness, I just tested the open/close with my remote. Works just fine, both open and close. From my past notes:

January 7, 2023 - Remote Window Up/Down Control from Remote

All windows down

Holding the unlock button on the fob will roll all the windows down.

All windows down

Didnt even know you can turn it off. Dont remember seeing it in the settings.

Settings -> vehicle -> remote lock, unlock, and start -> remote window operation

Note: This works in reverse as well. Holding "Lock" on the remote causes all windows to close.

I like that GM allows this. Not the case with all manufacturers, some of which allow you to press "Unlock" once, then press and hold "Unlock" for 5 seconds or so to open all windows. But closing via the "Lock" button does not work. Although I'm told it may be possible to enable this in Fords via ForScan software. (I later enabled the remote close on my Bronco with the Carista OBDII device, FWIW.)

Go to Settings, Vehicle, remote lock, unlock, and start, and then easily select remote window operation. It's right there.

If someone needs a video to figure this out I can also do that for you.

Press the lock button on the key fob one time, and then push it again and hold it down. The windows will roll down.

Press to unlock button on the key fob one time, and then push it down again and hold it down. The windows will roll up.

As mentioned above, the sunroof does not do open or close in this manner.

I am a happy camper ,again. The dealer did a software update and it put back the window remote screen and now everything is working as it should. I knew I wasn't crazy. (Others say different.)
