Help! Apex wheels clicking noise

Need help topic
I didn't have an issue putting on the Apex wheels, but I had a problem when I switched back to the OEM wheels in Spring last year. The centering rings stayed on the wheels except for one that stayed on the hub, and I didn't notice it until I torqued down the factory wheel on it. I thought it seemed weird the lugs didn't tighten normally, and then I took it off and found the mangled ring. Had to replace that one, and I'm glad I figured it out before anything happened. I don't think it affected the factory wheel since the ring is much softer material. So, watch out for that come swap time.
I'm going to try the OEMs first to make sure its the Apex causing the issue and then try the Apex again without the rings. I don't think the rings make a huge difference but we'll find out.

I apologize - I misread the hubcentric rings as spacers. You can also try running them without the rings. I had a wheel manufacturer tell me to do this once and I was concerned the wheels would not be centered properly but I encountered zero issues without the rings.
Good call on the rings. They seemed loose so maybe thats what caused the clicking.

Let's hope it's something minor like this. It really has to be something simple.

Before you put the rings on did you clean the surface rust first? A very minor step but just another piece of the puzzle. Hoping you have a solution already.
