Ambient lights

Hi, I wanted to install the ambient foot well lights in my 2012 V Coupe and there are no connectors. Is that because of the factory ambient lights? What is the best way to do it? Thank you in advance.

Supposedly, some dealers will tell you that it can't be done if you have the premium lighting option from the factory. However, I have heard some people running the wiring from harness that controls the premium lighting. Check the attached PDF for any helpful clues.
